A Regular Sunday

It can be a daunting experience coming to a new Church or attending for the first time. Our minds can be filled with all kinds of questions:
  • Am I really welcome?
  • Will the people be unfriendly, or too friendly?
  • Will it be easy for me to leave if I want to?
  • Will my children enjoy it?
  • How should I dress?
  • Am I still welcome if I don"t believe?
Our service begins at 11am each Sunday morning. We have a creche available where you can leave your children of pre school age to be looked after. Other children come in with you to the service and our Church begins to fill about ten minutes before it begins. You will notice that everyone is dressed in a manner that is comfortable to them, suits to jeans. So come as you please.

Worship

The service begins with a welcome from the Minister, we then sing a hymn, followed by a prayer and a bible reading. At this point in our service, we have a time for the children, when there is a short talk or story especially for them. After singing again, the children and young people leave for Sunday School and Bible Class.

If you have older children with you, they are welcome to come to Sunday School or Bible Class. We include a collection as part of our worship and thanksgiving to God. This is voluntary so please feel free to let the collection plate pass After further praise there is a talk by the minister for adults, teaching us from the bible. The service will end at 12 noon.

After the service the children can now be picked up from creche and Sunday School. Tea and coffee is available in the Church Hall and presents an ideal opportunity to meet people and develop friendships.
